St. Laurence's wins Colegio Español Del Año 2010
(Spanish School of the Year 2010)

In May 2010, St. Laurence's received the prestigious Colegio Español Del Año Award. Our Principal Mrs. Catherine Coveney, along with John Chestnut (Acting Charperson of the Board of Management), Mrs. Guadalupe Lannin (our Spanish Teacher) and Mrs. Sinéad Uí Bhroin (5th Class Teacher) were invited by the Spanish ambassador to Ireland to a function in the Spanish Embassy to be presented with the award.

Congratulations to all those who have been involved in this endeavour. We are delighted to be the inaugural winners of this prize.

European Language Label

On Wednesday 26th May, member of the Léargas team visited our school as part of our application for the European Language Label. During their visit, they took part in our Piñata Celebration in the school hall.

in the area of Green Homes

St. Laurence’s Primary School was happy to be presented with their fifth Green Flag at a presentation ceremony in Croke Park on the 2nd June 2010. This is the Green Home Flag. The flag was accepted on behalf of the school by Peter Patrick, a parent and dedicated supporter of our Walk on Wednesday. He was supported by his daughter Ciara and her classmate Ella McGovern, hard-working members of our Green Committee.
